本局首次發表以消防人員為拍攝主題的消防形象月曆，藉由宣導月曆有效整合火災預防、災害應變及緊急救護等業務推廣活動，以不同主題吸引民眾學習興趣並能在日常生活中落實防範，協助深化為內涵，使推廣教育與生活深度連結。
The Fire Bureau released its first firefighters calendar with the aim to effectively integrate different facets of public education such as fire prevention, disaster response, and emergency rescue. Different themes are used to spark the public’s interest in fire safety awareness and to encourage the implementation of fire prevention in daily life so that it becomes deeply ingrained.
臺中市消防形象月曆發表會於108年11月29日舉辦，包括盧市長、市議員陳成添、消防局長曾進財、運動局長李昱叡、文化局長張大春等人皆到場見證。臺中市吉祥物石虎家族的虎爸也出席演出，配合消防隊員演示心肺復甦術，寓教於樂，逗趣模樣萌翻全場。
The Taichung City Fire Bureau Firefighters Calendar was officially presented on Nov. 29, 2019. Mayor Lu, city council member Chen Cheng-Tien, Fire Bureau Director Tseng Chin-Tsai, Sports Bureau Director Li Yu-Jui, Cultural Affairs Bureau Director Chang Ta-Chun, and others were present at the event. The Taichung city mascot, Leopard Cat Leo, assisted firefighters in demonstrating cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), making the event both educational and entertaining, and was well received by the public.
18名消防人員是從62個消防外勤單位中挑選出來擔任消防形象大使，於9月份完成拍攝。其中擔任月曆主角的莊翌琳為臺中市政府消防局首位特搜女分隊長，曾擔任102年至108年市級災害防救演習司儀，另封面10月份以垂降姿態顯現身材的特搜大隊隊員陳勤憲利用勤餘時間進行團隊訓練，積極參與國內外各項繩索競賽，成功奪得金佛山2018繩命LifeLine國際繩索救援邀請賽百米上攀競速亞軍及繩索救援綜合競賽冠軍；此外一同亮相的還有搜救犬斯斯，曾支援臺南永康維冠大樓救災，並在搜救犬隊領犬員李偉碩帶領下通過原野搜索中級、IRO國際評量瓦礫高級測驗成為雙認證搜救犬。
Eighteen firefighters were selected from 62 fire stations to serve as Fire Ambassadors, and the photo shoot was completed in September. Chuang Yi-Lin, the first female special rescue team captain, played the lead role in the calendar. Chuang served as the emcee for the municipal disaster preparedness drills from 2013-2019. The month of October showcased Chen Chin-Hsien, a special rescue team member, shown in an abseiling position. Chen used his spare time to conduct team training and to participate in various nationwide and international rope rescue competitions. He won 2nd place in the 100m ascent race and 1st place in the rope rescue tournament at the 2018 Jinfo Mountain International Lifeline Rope Rescue Competition. Also part of the photo shoot was the search and rescue dog, Susie, who supported the disaster relief of the Weikuan building in Tainan’s Yongkang district. Under the guidance of Li Wei-Shuo, the search and rescue dog handler, Susie passed the Wilderness Area Search A Test and International IRO Rubble B Test to become a double-certified search and rescue dog.
