內政部消防署於今年6月26日至7月5日組團前往美國維吉尼亞州費爾法克斯縣參加「2015世界警政消防運動會」，本國消防類組精選的6名選手共為我國拿下了8金7銀8銅的好成績，實為本國消防人員歷屆參賽之最佳成績！
National Fire Agency participated in the “2015 World Police & Fire Games” from June 26th to July 5th in Fairfax County, VA, USA. Taiwan’s national team returned home triumphant with 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. That was the best achievement that our national team has ever achieved.
台灣代表團同時也利用這次的賽事，參觀了解美國費爾法克斯縣消防局與國際特種搜救隊的作業情形，並與各國消警人員交流互動，擴展團員的國際視野。
During the stay at the USA, our national team visited the Fire Bureau of Fairfax County and their International Special Rescue Corp. We have broadened our horizon by interacting with firefighters around the globe.
消防署於去年底就行文全國各消防機關推薦優異選手參加遴選，但囿於經費不足無法讓選手皆公費參賽，於今年2月鼓勵優異同仁自費參賽。
Last year (2014), National Fire Agency advised all of the fire bureaus to recommend outstanding firefighters to the sports game. However, due to the limited budget, not all the players can be fully subsidized. Thus, in February 2015, the National Fire Agency also started to encourage enthusiastic self-financing firefighters to attend the national team.
本局第三救災救護大隊中山分隊隊員詹家豪獲選為自費參賽選手，於3月起便利用勤餘時間進行精實之自主訓練以加強體能及技術，終於在70個國家、近萬名參賽選手中脫穎而出，榮獲田徑100公尺項目金牌、400公尺接力項目銀牌及1600公尺接力項目銅牌，表現出色、為國爭光！
Squad Member Chan, Chia-Hao belongs to Chong-Shan Branch, the 3rd Emergency and Rescue Corp. of Taichung City Government Fire Bureau. Being elected as one of the self-financing players in the national team in March, Mr. Chan dedicated himself to rigorous training in order to push his physical limits. Eventually, among nearly 10000 players from 70 countries Mr. Chan achieved excellent result: a gold medal on 100 meters running, a silver medal on 400 meters relay running and 1600 meters relay running.
也為臺中市爭取了最高榮譽，林佳龍市長於8月3日的市政會議中頒發獎勵金及獎狀給詹員，以表彰其優異表現！
Considering Mr. Chan’s honorable achievement to himself and Taichung City, Mayer Lin, Chia-Long decided to award him prize money and a certificate of merit in person at the municipal meeting on August 3rd.
